Description:

Laboratory Chemical Fume hood is an enclosed safety device designed to extract air inwards by mechanical ventilation to protect the hazardous working environment from harmful vapors, gases, dust, and fumes.

Types of Chemical fume hoods.

Constant air volume hoods are commonly known as CAV. Regardless of the sash position, the amount of air volume exhausted remains constant.

Variable air volume fume hood commonly known as VAV. Airflow is modulated based on the Sash height and maintain safe face velocity at all sash positions.

Validation of fume hoods for effective operation is performed after installation of the fume hoods.
